It is not a hazard if these 28 pieces of vines, locat ed not far from the “yellow river”, make a wine that carries a so particular glance on the world. All turned towards the chateau, surrounding and protecting at the same time this residence, the vines interact both with the heaven and the earth. Or more precisely with the underground, as the name of Malescasse in the old Medoc language meant. The impressive poverty of these white gravelly soils oblige the roots to get as deep as possible into the center of the earth. This poverty also obliges the vines to reach the sky and to obtain its most favourable influence.
